Some of you may have noticed that there is weird 'Guest' on the forums who is posting all kinds of crap and actually looks like he knows what he's talking about. This guest, as it turns out, is actually me, Mahoney. While doing some work with the new log in system (P.S. If you're wondering where that Downloads section went, try logging in from the front page;) I managed to inadvertently erase the user IrishDevil. Thus my former entity became a guest.

So if this guest has somehow magically answered your question like some wandering sage of internet forums, then realize, no, there is no digitally created oracle. It's just Mahoney. In another inadvertent moment, this mistake on my part conincidentally times with news of another sort.

I have decided to leave X-Strike Studios as a full time staff member. To clear the air from the start I'll say there is no bad blood. This wasn't some difference of creative opinion, or in-fighting in the company. As most of you know I'm a brand new father now. Little Ava Mahoney is a fantastic six month old wonder right now, and I love going to work only knowing that when I go home, I see that beautiful smile of hers. I've reached a point in my life where every decision I make must reflect the betterment of my family. And for reasons related directly to that I need to step down from the role I have within X-Strike Studios.

My time with X-Strike has been fantastic. I've worked diligently along side some very talented people for two and a half years now. I've learned a wealth of knowledge about story telling, media presentation, production, managing, advertising, and the list goes on.

As for me personally, this does not mean the end of my own creative endeavors. I'll always be thinking and enacting some kind of plan. It also does not mean the end of me ever being invovled in X-Strike. I am devoted and committed to the practice of independent creativity, and making story telling an artform that can be shared with everyone irregardless of how deep your pockets are. You may see me in some small projects here and there in the future so pay attention to those credit roles (besides there is some humor in those).

This also grants me the opportunity to leak some insider information. Maybe you'll read it before it gets taken down. Either way, you should be excited for what's coming down the pipe. I mean excited. There is some serious change of pace and tone in the works, and let me tell you... it looks good. If you see, well, any of these guys around; tell them to get to work on knocking out and refining those scripts. Just the pitch sessions had me going crazy.

Thanks for all your contributions, man. You're a hell of a funny guy, so we'd better do a movie together again someday!

We all know the internet lends itself to anonymity, but seriously, don't be a raging prick about these things.
